What’s a Giclée?
“Giclée,” the French word for “finely sprayed,” is a work of art made by a
special printer capable of spraying high-quality inks of extremely small
droplet size on paper. This process creates a print that captures colour and
resolution with great faithfulness. Giclée inks have been lab tested to
withstand normal home lighting conditions for one hundred to two hundred
years before showing any sign of fading. My prints are additionally printed
on acid-free textured watercolour paper,* backed with acid-free board,
signed with permanent ink, and delivered in clear acid-free sleeves to ensure
longevity of your artwork. A Giclée is not a poster but a high quality work
of fine art.
*Why acid-free? Paper that is made with active acid pulp during the
production process is subject to damage and fading over time, ruining your
work of art. For archival purposes, acid-free media are a necessity.
The following "Rott'ns" series of giclee prints is offered in a limited edition
of only 100. Each giclée is hand signed and numbered by the artist.
